The application runs in the background and intercepts what you delete. The file is moved to a separate area and remains there for the time period you define.

What the protection doesn't cover
Protection begins upon activation. It does not help in these cases:
- Photos deleted before installation.
- Factory reset of a cell phone.
- Memory card formatted on another device.
- Files deleted from within applications that don't go through the gallery.
How to avoid losing photos again
- Increase the retention period if the application allows it.
- Check what's stored inside before emptying it.
- Keep a copy of the irreplaceable outside of your cell phone.
- Check from time to time to see if the app is still active.
